Growing Healthy Preschool Intervention has served the community since 2024 by helping preschool children with developmental and medical needs receive the early intervention services necessary for long-term success. Donations directly fund essential learning resources and support the placement of full-day specialists within preschool classrooms, ensuring that all children receive the individualized support needed. As the cost of specialized one-on-one therapy and preschool tuition continues to rise — while state and federal funding for children’s programs declines — community support is critical to ensuring every child has access to the care and educational foundation needed to enter kindergarten confident, capable, and ready to thrive. Growing Healthy Preschool Intervention has applied for recognition of tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and is currently awaiting approval.
Every Child Deserves a Strong Foundation
Growing Healthy Preschool Intervention is a nonprofit early intervention program serving preschool children with developmental delays in North and South Carolina, including:
- Children with speech, language, hearing, or vision delays
- Children with gross and fine motor delays
- Children with congenital medical conditions such as Down Syndrome, Sickle Cell Anemia, Juvenile Diabetes, and Heart Defects
- Children with diagnosed or suspected ADHD or Level 1 Autism Spectrum Disorder
Our Mission
- Our mission is to bridge the gap between therapy and the classroom. By placing therapeutic support specialists directly in preschool settings, children receive consistent, full-day support tailored to their individual needs while learning alongside their peers in an inclusive environment. We provide early intervention services—including speech, occupational, physical, and behavioral support—within the classroom while also equipping families and educators with the tools to help children succeed. What We Do and How We Do It
Our purpose is to integrate evidence-based early intervention services for preschool-aged children with developmental delays, disabilities, and medical concerns into their classrooms on a daily basis. Central to this mission is the role of educators, who collaborate closely with in- school support professionals to implement targeted strategies within the classroom. Through this coordinated approach, teachers help reinforce therapeutic goals during daily instruction, strengthening developmental outcomes, improving kindergarten readiness, and building a strong foundation for lifelong learning and overall well-being.
